We will be meeting again in building 700.  The access is from the upper level on the west of the building toward the dog park.  When you enter, look to your right and down and you should see the conference room on the lower level. 

AI in Science

We will be meeting for the first time in building 700 this week.  The access is from the upper level on the west of the building toward the dog park.  When you enter, look to your right and down and you should see the conference room on the lower level. 

The Blue Ridge room is toward the back of the building.  Cross through the lobby to the elevator to the right of the waiting area for the elevator, there are large blue arrow signs that say Blue Ridge.  Follow those arrows until you me to the room.

Bring a laptop  It does not need to be a beefy machine.  The hands-on portion of the workshop will be using Google's cloud version of Jupyter Notebook, Colab: https://colab.research.google.com/

The Tarheel Room is available at 4pm so we will start in the coworking common area and some or all of us can move to the conference room at 4pm

This is the initial AI workshop event. This workshop does not require any specific experience or skill. We will focus on resolving real questions and problems that members have and to put learning into action. Bring a portable computing device that you use for AI work.
